Marj was the indelible glue that held the Sanderson family of Oakville together. Now, spread from Southern Ontario to Manitoba, we come together to celebrate Marjorie's life and influence on so many. Marjorie delighted in her children ­ Jane (Ken), Gordon (Irene), Diane (Bryan), Ian (Jody), Celia (Marven), Douglas (Elizabeth) and Audrey ­ her grandchildren ­ Lynnette, Jeremy, Scott, Daniel, Alex, Cynthia, Kate, Tom, Benjamin, Amelia, Charlie, Megan, Angie, Emma and Alan ­ and nine great-grandchildren. Marjorie was pre-deceased by son Vincent, and two grandchildren, Angus and Jess. Marjorie emigrated from England when just a young mom in 1954, moving from Oakville, to Simcoe, to Hagersville and finally back to Oakville in Oct. 1964. A long time employee at Ford of Canada, Marj was well-regarded as a team player, never afraid to take up the slack. Her home was always teeming with kids, hers and others, as Marj could always be counted for a warm welcome, and a listening, non-judgmental ear. And there was always something to eat. Not fancy, but always plentiful. As a mom and mother-in-law, she blessed us all beyond measure. Marj's strong character and solid convictions ensured that all of us had a sure foundation on which to build our own lives. She was fun, she was funny, a good friend and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She set the standard for kindness, and we are all in her debt. Marjorie spent the last year at Edgewater Lodge in Dunnville and as a family, we wish to thank the incredible staff who made Marj's last year so pleasurable and peaceful. We are indeed grateful. A memorial service for Marjorie will take place in Dunnville, on Saturday, May 26, 1 pm at Calvary Pentecostal Church Dunnville, 1241 Hwy 3 E, Dunnville Ont. N1A 2X1. In loving memory of Donna Lyons, born Donna Mackay. Donna passed quietly after a long illness at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, great aunt and friend to many. Predeceased by mother Doris, father Douglas and brother Douglas junior. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Donald, her two sons Douglas and Michael, her two sisters Debbie and Danise, her nieces Tracy, Danielle, Cheryl, Devin, Nicole and numerous great nieces and great nephews. A memorial service will be held at St. Simon's Anglican Church, 1450 Litchfield Rd., Oakville, Saturday, May 26 at 3:00 pm. Reception to be held at the church. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Lung Foundation in her name or a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place. Obituary IVEY, J.M.- Former resident of Oakville, died 11th May 2007 in Anderson, S.C. after a brief illness. Mr. Ivey had been a General Contractor for 18 years in Oakville and President of Ivey-Dreger Construction. Jim had remained close to many in Oakville.
