You'll save money and eat healthier. Also, keep your energy levels up by eating regularly. Have healthy snacks available for when hunger strikes. Starving yourself just causes you to overeat. 2. Watch the Carbs ­ Carbohydrates are important for providing energy in a healthy diet, but it's important not to overdo it. If your meals typically include more than one starch, replace the extra starch with vegetables. Be aware of how much added sugar you use throughout the day ­ in coffee/tea, on cereal or fruit. 3. Wherever Possible, Walk ­ Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Get off the bus one stop before your own. Take a walk with the family after dinner.
