"We use donated money to buy additional food, which is not part of the normal food drive. I'm talking about things like chicken, ground beef, cheese and fish. All these are perishable items so they're not donated at food drives," said Clarke. "In December we are supplying all clients with turkey for Christmas along with the sort of trimmings that go with that, so gravy, cranberry sauce and all that. While anyone willing to volunteer for this service would be welcome, Clarke noted that high school students have an added incentive as this time goes towards their community service hours needed for graduation.
