The Glen Abbey and River Oaks community centres will remain open for drop-in use. The Glen Abbey Community Centre pool will also remain open as will all town-owned arenas. Town Hall, libraries and all other townowned facilities and community centres will be closed. "We're excited about Oakville's first-ever Family Day," said Mayor Rob Burton. "To celebrate this statutory holiday, we're keeping Glen Abbey pool and each of our arenas open to accommodate for family skate and swim times," said Burton. Family Day activity locations and times include: Glen Abbey swim times: 10-11:30 a.m. - Leisure Swim; 11:30 a.m.­noon ­ Waterjogging; noon-2 p.m. - Lengths Swim and 2-3:30 p.m. - Leisure Swim. Family Skate Times include: Glen Abbey, 10­11:30 a.m., Blue Rink; Glen Abbey, 1:30­3 p.m., Green Rink; Joshua's Creek, 1:30­3:20 p.m., Blue Rink; Kinoak, 3­4:50 p.m.; Maple Grove, 3­4:50 p.m.; Oakville, 7­8:20 p.m.; River Oaks, 3­4:45 p.m., Pad "B." Oakville emergency services will remain operational on Family Day, too.
