Obituary McNAMARA, Charles "Charlie" Matthew Frank - April 1,1933 ­ May 13, 2008 Passed away peacefully with grace and dignity at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his beloved and devoted wife of 51 years, Gloria (nee Phillips) and his much adored and adoring children, Kevin (Jeanette), Patrick (Sue), and Shawn (Leslie). Charlie was the proudest and dearest grandfather (Papa) to "Charlie's Angels", Shaughnessy, Natasha, Sara, Felicity, Ryan, Charlie II and Kyle. He is survived by his brother and good buddy, Michael (Judith); predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Alymer; sister Joan (Al) and brother Paul . Charlie will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews as well as the many young and old friends whom he was always "Papa Charlie". He had a large extended family of loving friends and respected colleagues. Charlie was born in Toronto and raised in Welland, Ontario where his entrepreneurial spirit was born and nourished. Charlie enjoyed a long and successful career in the fashion footwear industry. Upon his retirement, his lifelong love of golf led to marshalling along with summer escapes to the Rideau Lake to indulge in his passion for fishing. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, Oakville, Tuesday May 20th, 2008 at 5:00 PM. She is reunited with her beloved husband John, who passed away in February, after 52 wonderful years of marriage. Cherished mother of Ben and his wife Christine and Anthony and his wife Cheryl. Loving "Oma" to Tyler, Adriana, Ashley, Michelle, Hillary, Justin, Johnathan and Cameron. Jane will be sadly missed by her sisters and brothers, and many other family and friends in Holland. In addition to being an amazingly supportive wife and devoted mother, Jane will also be remembered for dedicating much of her time as a volunteer for over 25 years, at the Oaklands Regional Centre; an organization to assist those with developmental disabilities.
