Purchase supports Terry's Evergreen: The Dietrichs Meat Warehouse Second Annual Fundraiser for Terry's Evergreen is underway. In support of Terry's Evergreen Addiction Recovery Services, Dietrichs has made four special menu selections including Beef Wellington, Chicken Supreme, Salmon Papillote and Pork en Croute. One hundred per cent of the proceeds from these items, from now until Christmas, will be donated to Terrys Evergreen. Michael Smolka, owner of Dietrichs Meat Warehouse, and friend Debbie Nanson founded Terrys Evergreen in memory of their friend Terry James Kozack, 28. Kozack's death from a drug overdose in April of 2007 had a profound effect on Smolka and Nanson who now work tirelessly to help others struggling with addiction. The agency is a group of volunteers whose goal is to provide understanding, guidance and education to persons with addiction, their families, friends and communities and to bring about positive life changes. Through this charity, Dietrich's supports numerous agencies connected with addiction recovery including the YWCA of Niagara Falls and St. Catharines, Arid House in Niagara Falls and Thorold, Wayside Houses in St. Catharines, Native Women's Centre in Hamilton, Triple `H' Homes in Hamilton and Women 4 Women in St. Catharines.
