Oakville, which owns a 24-1-1 record in South Central Triple A play this year and has outscored its league opponents 12024, will compete in the prestigious tournament in February. "The boys are off to a great start and that is 100 per cent due to all the hard work they have put in since making the team in April," said Rangers head coach Duncan Harvey. "The Quebec tournament is a huge honour to be invited to. The best peewee teams in the world will be there and the boys know that they will have to work really hard in their preparation as they represent the MOHA and the town of Oakville." "I feel like this is some of the most fun I've ever had playing hockey, even though I've only been here for about two months," Legein told the Flyers' website. Legein, who won gold with Team Canada at the world junior hockey championships two years ago, drew national headlines when he retired from hockey prior to the 2008-09 season. He returned to the game a few months later. "One thing I want everyone to know is that I never lost my passion for this game," Legein told the Flyers' site. "This is what I do, and I love every minute of it." Adirondack is currently 13-13-2 and sits sixth in the AHL's East Division, four points ahead of Syracuse. Schedules set for Richard Bell Memorial tournament Schedules have been finalized and released for next week's Richard Bell Memorial Minor Hockey Tournament. The annual international tournament, run by the Minor Oaks Hockey Association, will begin Sunday, Dec. 27 and conclude Wednesday, Dec. 30, with games played at every arena in the town. A tournament-record 138 teams are participating in this year's event, including -- for the first time ever -- a team from Russia. The Moscow North Stars will play in the minor bantam AAA division. Moscow's games are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, 3:30 p.m. Monday, 9:25 a.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. Tuesday, the latter contest against the Oakville Rangers. All the Russian squad's preliminaryround games will be played at Glen Abbey Recreation Centre. The minor atom and minor peewee teams will begin play on Sunday. Minor bantam and minor midget squads will see their first action on Monday. Admission for all games in the tournament is free.
