It will take place from 24 p.m. in the second-floor auditorium of the Oakville Central Library located at Lakeshore Road and Navy Street. The event is hosted by the Oakville Community Centre for Peace, Ecology and Human Rights (OCCPEHR). It will feature OCCPEHR Chair Mervyn Russell. Angela Bischoff will also speak at the concert about ecological issues. Bischoff is the founder of Greenspiration and outreach director of the Ontario Clean Air Alliance. David Peck will also be present. He is founder and executive director of Sochange. Music at the concert will be provided by SINVA, a musical band whose initials stand for Studies in Non-Violent Action. Concert attendees will be inspired and positively provoked by the lyrics and energetic performance of Steve Hall and Guy Fogel, according to OCCPEHR executive director Stephen Dankowich. SINVA, formerly The Rainbow Warriors, was founded by Hall in the 1980s and has performed at several of OCCPEHR's peace concerts. Admission to the concert is $10 at the door, $5 for students.
