"My album Intimate is similar (to the book) in that a lot of the songs were inspired by my relationship with my father. I emerged from the experience of writing the book inspired to write more songs." Not all the songs on the album are new however. Half of the songs featured in the album, which were all written by Hill, have been previous hits by famous artists such as Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees.
