Blakelock High School, Grade 12: Tess has been a fixture on the Honour Roll for her high school career, and is respected by both her teachers and her peers. In addition to her high academic standing, Tess has been involved with several extracurricular activities including the Japanese Exchange Program, the school volleyball team, and the school band. Tess is a leader both in the classroom and out, and is unquestionably deserving of this honour. · Maha Mansoor, White Oaks Secondary School, Grade 12: Maha was chosen for many reasons, including her outstanding participation and passionate drive for the environ- ment. In her senior years, she held the positions of Student Government Prime Minister, Co-President of the Activism & Awareness Association, executive member of the Cat Crew, the Safe Schools Committee and the Principal's Advisory Council. Maha also played on the senior field hockey team. On a community level, Maha serves as the student representative for the Halton District School Board's Environmental Management Team and represents WOSS in the Halton-wide Student Senate. She has been a leading member in the O.S.T.E.P (Oakville Students for Environmental Protection) Committee and has volunteered for various local environmental and community organizations.
