Loving wife of Fred, and Mom of John (Nancy) of Qualicum Beach B.C., Joel (Margaret) of Ottawa, Jay (Sharon Harris) of Toronto and Julie-Anne of Oakville, Audrey is predeceased by her siblings Leonard (Ann), Carl (Bernice), John, Edward (survived by Iris), Zelda (Art Hildebrand) and Robert and is survived by her sister Edna (Floyd Odabas) and brother Philip (Sylvia). She leaves grandchildren Elisabeth, Brian and Caroline (André Tremblay) and greatgranddaughter Emma as well as many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Wiarton, Ontario, married to Fred in 1939, Audrey raised four children, inspiring them to become, variously, a chartered accountant, two Ph.D's and an M.Sc. Audrey was an early member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakville and was active in its good works for almost fifty years including, in her later years, the Lutheran Braille Workers as well as being a member of the White Oaks Chapter of the I.O.D.E. a lifetime member of the O.T.M.H. auxiliary and an avid gardener, quilter, curler and lawn bowler. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Friday, March 30, 2007, Grace Lutheran Church, 304 Spruce Street, Oakville followed by interment at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society of Canada (www.alzheimer.ca) would be appreciated.
