Woman hospitalized after Wednesday robbery By David Lea OAKVILLE BEAVER STAFF Halton police believe a 61-year-old Oakville woman was brutally attacked after she interrupted a break and enter at a local trucking company. The woman was rushed to Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) after she was attacked by three men at Brewer Van Line Logistics, located at 1165 Invicta Dr., Wednesday morning. Police said the assault occurred at around 8:15 a.m., at which time it's believed the lone employee may have interrupted a break and enter. While the investigation is in its early stages, police allege at least one suspect was armed with a handgun. Police reported the individuals assaulted the employee, striking her in the head, and then fled. The woman reportedly received non-lifethreatening injuries. Police have yet to determine if anything was stolen from the business. The suspects are described as male, non-white with average builds. They wore hooded sweatshirts. Further details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
