19 | Thursday, April 25, 2013 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com NEWS AND INFORMATION FROM OAKVILLE-TRAFALGAR MEMORIAL HOSPITAL APRIL 2013 A Visit to the New Oakville Hospital Unseasonable temperatures that brought rain and snow to Southern Ontario on April 11, 2013 didn't stop Halton Healthcare Services' Board of Directors from visiting the construction site of Oakville's new hospital. Braving cold winds, Board members made their way to the Hospital's sixth floor to check out the view that future Medical Surgical inpatients will have from their rooms. Back on the first floor, they weaved their way through the Hospital's Emergency Department where trades people were installing mechanical, electrical rough-ins and metal studs which are starting to form the Department's hallways and rooms. Construction began in September 2011 and the project is progressing on time and on budget toward substantial completion in summer 2015, with an anticipated move-in date later that same year.
