The Maple Grove Public School Science and Technology teacher is receiving the Bay Area Science & Engineering Fair's (BASEF) Champion Teacher Recognition Award for going above-andbeyond in preparing and mentoring her students for the annual science fair for students in the Halton and Hamilton area. The award will officially be handed to her Tuesday, April 1, during the BASEF Awards Ceremony at Mohawk College's McIntyre Theatre in Hamilton. Munson will be inducted into the BASEF Champion Teacher Hall of Fame, receive a plaque, and $350 for use in her classroom. Munson was selected by a BASEF panel after her nomination by former peers, students and parents. She previously taught at W.H.
