In fact, halfway through the free event, volunteers had to bring in a second supply of ice cream cones. Aside from ice cream and live entertainment, various community groups had information tables and the Oakville Fire Department brought two fire trucks for children to tour. Paul Lightfoot enjoys his ice cream, as he listens to the live music. Meanwhile, on Sunday, not far away at Sammy's Famous Chip Wagon on Lakeshore Road in Bronte, local officials were again on hand. Above, from left are Ward 1 Councillor Ralph Robinson, Oakville Mayor Rob Burton, chip wagon owner Sammy Rawdah, and Ward 1 Councillor Alan Johnston. This was a meet-and-greet the mayor and councillors event.
