The Oakville Beaver, W e d n e s d a y M a y 1, 2002 - C 5 Christian high school to open King's Christian Collegiate w ill offi cially open on Saturday. TTie school's grand opening and building dedication ceremony w ill take place at 1:30 p.m. at the school which is located at 528 Bumhamthorpe Rd. W. (at Neyagawa). The school opened to students last September, but operated in rented space at St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre on Dundas Street. On Feb. 4, classes moved into the Bumhamthorpe school building as they awaited finishing touches to be completed. Now the school's gymnasium is open for business and that means the school is ready to officially open. King's Christian Collegiate, the first high school of its kind in Halton. opened with the new Ontario curriculum. Currently it houses Grades 9, 10 and 11. though it will have a full grade com plement as of next September. The new interdenominational Christian high school boasts certified Christian teachers, vigorous post-second ary preparation, fully integrated technolo gy, detailed reporting to parents, clear moral standards, and bussing is available.
