Muslim women's group hosting information meeting April 11 A group of Muslim women in Halton is holding a public discussion about radicalization and how to defuse it. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community said that because of terrorist attacks on Canadian soil late last year, the group took steps to launch a national campaign to tackle radicalization, educate youths and present ideas for de-radicalization. The group's effort began days after Canadian soldier Cpl. Nathan Cirillo of Hamilton, who was guarding the war memorial in Ottawa, was gunned down on Oct. 22, 2014. The Women Auxiliary Branch of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Georgetown is bringing its campaign to Burlington. Stop the Crisis is the theme of the event planned for Sunday, April 11 at the Tansley Woods Community Centre, Rooms 1 and 2, 1996 Itabashi Way, Burlington. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community national president and some guest speakers will be present. It is a women-only event.
