Burl-Oak calls for holiday auditions Burl-Oak Theatre Group is holding auditions for its production of Snow White A Holiday Pantomime. The group's annual family holiday production is written by Chantal Forde and Tim Cadeny and will be staged in December. "It's Snow White, but with a twist," stated a media release. "This version of the story has all the treasured elements audiences know and love, and combines them in a pantomime with interactive fun, some new zany characters, and a festive spirit that's sure to please audiences young and old." The show will feature many of the regular characters, including Snow White, the Dwarfs, evil queen and prince, and some new singers and dancers. Auditions for roles in the show will be held Sept. 16, 18 and 19. To schedule an audition, email poadb@hotmail.com for a cast list and an audition time, and specify if you would like a speaking or non-speaking (ensemble) role. This is Burl-Oak Theatre Group's third holiday production and was originally designed to fill the need for quality family entertainment in Oakville without the drive to Toronto, according to the release. Tickets go on sale in September for performances on Dec. 21-23 and Dec. 27.
