In fact, Sheridan Public School, its staff and its 250 students never stop thinking about it and they've become one of the best in Canada when it comes to recycling non-recycling waste. In the past three years they've collected more than 268,000 cookie wrappers, snack pouches, lunch kit packages and other similar non- recyclable products. The school has also collected more than 4,615 pouches making it this country's top snack pouch collector, raising more than $3,000 for the school's technological needs in the process under the TerraCycle Brigade. Fran Matthews, the TerraCycle co-ordinator and a secretary at Sheridan, has been keeping the school's collections going throughout the summer.
