Halton police are looking for three suspects followingfor three suspects followingf the recent theft of two ATMs in Oakville. On Jan. 18, at approxi- mately 5:30 a.m., three masked men in an older model pickup truck ap- proached the Sobeys at 2441 Lakeshore Rd. W. Police said one of the men pried open the store's sliding door, which allowed the group to enter the front ves- tibule of the store where an ATM was located. The two other men then tied a chain (hooked up to the pickup truck) around the ATM. The driver then acceler- ated, hauling the ATM through the doors of the store. The group then loaded the ATM into the pickup truck and fled the area. A second incident oc- curred on Jan. 24. At approximately 3:30 a.m., three suspects in a pickup truck approached the Film.Ca Cinemas movie theatre at 171 Speers Rd., and applied the same technique to steal a second ATM. Police would not say how much cash was in the ATMs. All suspects wore black balaclavas. The first man also wore a blue hoodie, brown pants, brown boots and white gloves.gloves.g The second man wore a blue plaid jacket, black pants, black shoes with white soles and blue gloves. The third man wore a dark jacket over a bright or- ange hoodie, black pants, tan work boots and black gloves.gloves.g The vehicle is described as a 2004 to 2007, four-door Ford F250, green with a tanFord F250, green with a tanF trim, winter rims and no tonneau cover.
